After 22 years since Monica and Chandler moved to their new house with their twins, lot of things have changed. Joey moved to LA pursuing his acting career. He becomes the protagonist of a series and finally begins to earn good money and make a name for himself.When her sister Dina, who had to raise her daughter alone  loses her job Joey decides it is time to return to New York and help his sister and reunite with his closest friends. He bonds a lot with his niece who, like him, is named Joanna.   Meanwhile, Phoebe and Mike had a son named Julian who inherited his mother's principles and ideals of justice. He wants to become an environmental lawyer.  
The twins Jack and Erica grew up out of town but Monica and Ross were often together, so Jack, Erica and Emma grew up together.  Ross and Rachel eventually married and raised Emma together. Now It's the new generation's turn to live their New York life
