"Yes, 250.000?... And it's all renewed inside right?" Zulema was talking with a man on the phone while sitting lazily on one of the deck chairs placed on the roof of their caravan. The cap of her black hoodie was covering her head while a cigarette found her way to her lips, taking a deep drag of it. She listened to what the man was saying, caressing, with the thumb of the same hand that was holding the cigarette, her under lip. The situation between her and Macarena was becoming too sentimental and getting emotions involved in such a moment in her life is absolutely the last thing she wanted. She couldn't manage anymore to control her feelings when she was around the blonde and what was the result? Them getting even closer to eachother, deepening the sentiments they felt for eachother. No, Zulema knew she had to put a hold on all this before it was too late, before the bot would end just hurting even more. Because what could have been the best outcome of all this? Macarena finding Zulema one day death somewhere on the floor and herself getting everyday more scared to die. Yes, because Zulema felt like this now. Scared. But not actually of dieing. The thought of dieing never really made her any effect because she never had anything to lose in first place. But now that she found herself time to time fantasizing of her life with the young blonde (living with her in a nice house while helping her to become a wonderful mother) she didn't really want to have to die. For once she wanted to experience living that boring normal life she never had. But it was impossible, she knew it and she had to accept it. "I think we have a deal." Her low voice then said on the phone, taking another drag of the cigarette and shifting on of her feet to test on the knee of her other leg. After a few other calls she finally stood up, got down the metal stairs and in the caravan to get herself ready. "Where are you going?" Asked a confused Macarena as she noticed Zulema packing a bag with some clothes. She just got out of the bathroom after taking a shower and was trying to dry a bit her wet blonde hair with a towel. "I have some things to do, I don't know how much it will take actually. It shouldn't be more than three days anyway." The oldest answered simply without even giving a look to her roommate and closing the zipper of her bag. "Just drop me on the nearest bus stop okay? So you can still use the car if you need it." She then added and fortunately Macarena didn't say or ask anything about what she was doing. Even if they got closer the blonde still knew that Zulema needed her own space and that she hadn't to get too curious of what she was doing outside of their home. Still a hint of unease was creeping in her and she couldn't really hide it from her expression. What if she is going out with someone? The blonde thought but was taken of guard when Zulema answered her mental question. The both where now facing eachother, looking into eachother eyes. "I'm not seeing anyone if this is what concerns you." Zulema said, reading the other's expression like an open book. Macarena tried to play it cool but the oldest noticed immediately her expression getting softer and her shoulder lessening the tension at those words. "It does not concern me." Macarena retorted, obviously lying and giving a last squeeze at her hair with the towel. Zulema wanted to reach out a hand to put some strands of the curly hair of the blonde behind her ear but instead she just nod her head, smiling slightly. "Well then get ready, I don't have the whole day." _______ "Good morning sleepy head" Came the husky voice from the kitchen. Macarena was still recovering from the long sleep she had, yawning and stretching her arms out while sitting on the bed. Her eyes widened and she startled a bit at the sudden voice of Zulema, turning to look towards the kitchen where the sound came. There she saw her, with her complete black outfit, her shoulder long corvine hair and her combat boots on while holding that what remained of an apple in one hand. Her body was resting against the kitchen counter and her eyes where fixed on the blonde who was unconsciously beginning to unfold her lips in a smile. "When did you come home?" She then asked, putting herself up from the bed. She was only wearing a white t-shirt that didn't even cover her underwear and Zulema had to use all her power to not let her eyes fall on the perfect body of the young woman that was now approaching her. "Hmm.. an hour ago." Zulema answered with a shrug, after looking at the time. It was past 10 a.m. now. "Coffe?" She then asked, biting on her last peace of fruit. The blonde nodded at the question and Zulema started preparing two cups. "I could have picked you up, you know?" Macarena said in a low tone. "Well, actually I called you but it seems that you like entering in coma." Came the sarcastic answer from the oldest. "But don't worry, the taxi dropped me just twenty minutes away from here. I didn't mind taking a walk." She then added, passing one of the cups to Maca who took it with a "thank you". Macarena took a sip of the coffee but she hadn't even the time to gulp it down that a strong wave of nausea hit her. Her face contorted in a frown while placing the cup on the table. "I think I have to-" she didn't even manage to finish the sentence. Bringing a hand to cover her mouth she ran into the bathroom. We really are a mess. Thought Zulema, letting out a sigh. She was starting to walk towards the bathroom to check on the young girl but then she stopped on her tracks. No, she shouldn't get involved in this. She shouldn't be so caring with her. This had to end. Closing her hand in a fist and pressing her lips together, Zulema decided to sit down on the chair of the kitchen with her elbows pressed on the table and the palms of her hands against her head. She didn't want to let go of Macarena. She didn't want to tell her to leave her alone. But she had to do it. She had to put an end of whatever was evolving between the two; it was becoming too good, too gentle, too precious... and that would mean only one thing in the end for the both: more pain. It's for the best if you hate me instead of loving me, the raven haired girl thought, closing her hands in a fist and trapping the hair that where between her fingersi in them, feeling the pain of her hair getting pulled. But it was okay, she preferred the physical pain over the emotional one any time, she didn't even complain about the slight headache that was lingering in her head. She took another deep breath, closing for a moment her eyes. She had to calm herself down or she would not be able to go though this. "Ew... I feel awful." Macarena stepped out of the bathroom. Her face pale while a hand was placed on her belly. Zulema turned to look at her, half smiling only for a second. "Get used to it, you have still seven months ahead." The oldest simply said, following with the her gaze the blonde that was walking towards her and sitting then on the other chair of the kitchen. Her face turned into an disgusted one when the aroma of her coffee still on the table reached her. Zulema noticed it and didn't wast a second to take the cup of coffee and pouring the liquid into the sink. "Listen, since we are already taking this argument, I have something important to tell you." Zulema said with her husky voice, turning to look at Macarena that didn't say anything back but motioned her to continue with a nod of her head. "This is not the right place for a pregnant woman to stay, that's why I left a few days ago. I went to Madrid and bought an Appartment. It's really nice, with a lot of space and all the comforts. It even has a terrace with a beautiful view! Plus it's near the hospital and a kindergarten." The oldest told, noticing the lips of Macarena unfold in a smile. "So we are going to live in Madrid? But we are still searched from the police, how-" "Not we." Zulema interrupted her trying to maintain a steady voice. Reaching her bag that was placed on the floor next to the table, she took out some documents. Macarena's smile faded away in an instant. "You are going. Here are you new documents with your new identity. A fully new life for you and your baby." She placed the papers on the table in front of the blonde. Her green eyes shifted from the documents to Zulema and back. "W-what?" She mumbled almost in a whisper. "So you are just freeing yourself from me like this?" Her eyes, filled with disappointed and disbelief, where now fixed on the other woman next to her. All her expectations of a future with Zulema faded away. She really was hoping to stay with her, not only for the heists and the money, but also because of the feelings she knew they both had for eachother. Now she didn't know what to believe. Did she just imagine all that was happening between the two? Why was Zulema all of a sudden in such a hurry to get rid of her? "It's not like i'm throwing you out like some fucking trash." Zulema retorted with a cold tone of voice, lifting her chin. She was doing her best to put a wall back between the two but it was hard since even looking into those green orbits of the youngest was making her heart hurt. Macarena scoffed and shook her head, still not believe at what she was hearing. Then she stood up, crossing her arms and walking two steps towards the bed and back towards the table. Zulema followed her with her gaze but didn't say anything more. She hoped only that the blonde would just give in and accept the idea of going to Madrid. On her own. "So your plan is to stay alone? And then what? Living forever in a fucking caravan?" Macarena said at the end with bitterness in her tone. She tried to bring some sense in the other. She did not dislike the idea of finally settle in an appartment and having a normal life, but she didn't absolutely like the idea of living a normal life without Zulema next to her. "What I do with my life is none of your business rubia." The oldest said, putting the palms of her hand on the table and standing up, almost making the chair fall down. She was trying to stay calm but the blonde's attitude was getting on her nerves. "Yes it is, from the moment we kissed. Or was it just a game for you?" Macarena came near the other, placing her index finger right on the sternum of Zulema and looking in her eyes. "I never imagined saying this but" the blonde continued, looking down for a moment while biting her lip, contemplating if she should really say it out loud. At the end she gave in, she couldn't hold this secret inside of her anymore. "I do care for you... I really do. And I don't want to lose you Zulema." She said with a softer tone, pouring her heart out in a last attempt of convincing the other to come with her. Her eyes where starting to fill with tears when she noticed the expression of the oldest not getting soften at all. Zulema just took a deep breath, bringing her head up for a second and biting her cheeks from inside. "Stop caring then." She then blurred with such a cold tone, making a chill roll long the back of Maca. "What happened between us was only a mistake, nothing more." She added, pressing her lips together and bringing her shoulder up a second. In a second a cold hand was pressed against Zulema's throat, making her stumble backwards until her back slammed against the nearest wall. "I should have expected this from you." Macarena then said with a lover voice not even trying to hide the hurt she was feeling, her face now only inches from Zulema's. "I thought things where changing between us, that-" She was interrupted by the voice of the oldest who was having a hard time to breathe. "That what?" Zulema spit out, feeling her breath slip away. "That-.. that we would go live together in a new appartment... like a family, growing together your child?" She tried to sound as cold as she could, even if in the inside she was crumbling. Her heart was breaking while looking in the eyes of Macarena; she could see how she was trying to not let the tears in her eyes slide down on her cheeks. I'm sorry... Zulema thought but her mouth said something completely else. "I knew you where stupid but I didn't think this much." Her voice was now only a whisper, and her lungs where begging for air. At those words, the hold of the hand on Zulema's neck tightened while dark eyes fixed the green watery ones of Macarena. "Do it..." The older still managed to say with strangled voice. "Kill... me..." It sounded almost like a bleeding. Maybe this was the best. No more pain. She could feel her vision getting blurred and her eyes becoming heavier, still she didn't make a move to break free from the strong grip around her neck. "Fuck you Zulema." Macarena said between clenched teeths and two tears escaped her eyes. Making a step back, she let go of the slim neck of the other woman, looking as she fell down on her knees while taking big and heavy breathings. Zulema was slowly regaining the focus in her eyes while looking up to Macarena. They both where hurt, it was visible in their eyes. How did this escalate like this? The blonde took a step back, then another turning towards the bed where her clothes where stored. She took a pair of shorts and put them on. Then she put on her shoes and rushed out of their home, slamming the door behind of her. Zulema on the other side remained on the floor, steadying her breathing while bringing her back against the wall. It's for the best. She thought, lifting her head to look at the ceiling, feeling tears forming up in her eyes. She had to remind herself why she just did all of this, why she ruined the relationship that was growing between the two. It was better that the blonde hated her instead of loving her. It was better like this. She repeated mentally. A tear escaped her eyes, sliding down her cheek but she didn't wash it away, she just let it caress her face, closening her eyes.
