Ho fatto un salto nel vuoto,
avrebbe potuto facilmente andare molto male.
Non so perché, ma davvero non volevo perdere questo treno.
Ho cercato di essere la versione migliore di me stessa,
ho fatto il possibile per metterti a tuo agio.
Temevo che avrei visto la stessa vecchia storia ancora una volta.
Ma ora qualcosa sta cambiando:
ti vedo sotto una luce diversa,
cuore a cuore mentre osserviamo il sole tramontare dietro le nuvole.
Inizio a fidarmi di te,
ti dico cose che non ho mai detto a nessuno,
e per la prima volta mi sento al sicuro, mentre i nostri muri cominciano a sgretolarsi.

È così che ci si sente
quando è lui quello che scioglie il tuo cuore di ghiaccio?

quando finalmente trovi la tua fiamma gemella?
È così che ci si sente

Sembra così irreale:
ti sto portando in giro per la mia città natale,
Non mi importa nemmeno se qualcuno ti vede accanto a me.
Mi chiedo dove andrà a finire:
porto la tua iniziale appesa al collo.
Vorrei poter leggere la tua mente e vedere cosa pensi.
Sei ancora qui con me,
pensavo che la pioggia ti avrebbe portato via,
ma sei rimasto sotto il mio ombrello e hai riportato il sole.
Sto perdendo la cognizione del tempo,
non so da quanto tempo siamo in questo letto,
ma quando le nostre labbra si sono toccate ho sentito che potevi davvero essere quello giusto.

Dopo una vita di rifiuti, errori, occasioni perse, strade senza uscita e relazioni tossiche, finalmente cominci a provare qualcosa di diverso. È davvero così che ci si sente quando sei con la persona giusta? Perché è la sensazione più bella che io abbia mai provato.
