Dear Depression, you are everywhere.
You are my nightmares and my daydreams.
You are the contradicting thoughts in my head that consume me.
Despite all of this, Depression, today I beat you. 
I beat you when I went out of bed to drive to softball practice.
I beat you when I found the courage to help others fight their demons.
Still, I know that you'll be back, I know that you never really left.
But today, Depression, I beat you.
